Education Secretary Leonor Briones tells CNN PH's The Source that the trends say the classes for the new school year will open on August.

We are still waiting for a direct confirmation from the Department of Education. Nevertheless, We will begin adjusting the schedule for the next school year based on this information. As for the other activities such as the distribution of report cards and summer tutorials, until the Luzon-wide community lockdown is lifted, we can only wait and see. Rest assured, our staff is diligently monitoring the situation.
