SFAMSC Brings Cheer and Compassion to Home of Joy for the Sick Children

In a heartwarming display of community and compassion, the Student Council of SFAMSC, led by their advisor, Teacher Mario Follero, recently organized a memorable outreach program at the Missionaries of Charity Home of Joy for the Sick Children. The event was a vibrant festival of joy, designed to bring smiles to the faces of orphaned and impoverished children from the local area. Students and teachers came together to prepare an engaging lineup of parlor games, dance routines, and musical performances, ensuring every moment was filled with fun and laughter. The air was excited as children reveled in a flurry of activities and relished the chance to win delightful prizes, including toys, coloring books, and other treats.

The festivities were complemented by a sumptuous meal lovingly prepared by the school's dedicated faculty and staff. The menu featured a hearty lunch of Chicken Tinola, steaming hot rice, and fresh bananas, all served with care and warmth, making the mealtime a highlight of the day. The effort put forth by the school community was palpable as teachers and volunteers juggled their end-of-year duties to make this event a priority, showcasing their commitment to serving others, a cornerstone of the SFAMSC spirit.

Our heartfelt gratitude extends to all who made this event possible. Special thanks go to Ma'am Rorie, whose meticulous planning and motivation were instrumental in the day's success. Immense appreciation is also due to our dedicated teachers who prepared all our activities, managed the games, and choreographed the music and dance performances. We also extend our thanks to the generous parents whose contributions were vital in bringing the event to life. Lastly, we are profoundly thankful to the sisters of the Missionaries of Charity for hosting us, reminding us of Mother Teresa's teachings that true service lies in caring for those in need. Inspired by her words, we left the Home of Joy with full hearts and a renewed commitment to service, ready to spread more smiles and joy in the days to come.
